Context

Odyssey Productions was a music production company founded and directed by Alexander Tzavellas in 2011 in Athens - Greece. The company operated with a dedicated team of established musicians and served artists across a multitude of musical genres.

Roles

Managing the company and working as a composer and music producer for various artists. During this time, I liaised with major record companies such as Universal Music Group, Sony Music Entertainment, and Warner Music Group for the promotions of artist interests.

 

Duties

• Analysing client musical material and facilitating compositional direction

• Managing high quality recordings both vocal and instrument

• Mixing audio tracks to create balance across the audio and stereo spectrum

• Mastering music to meet industry standards

• Connecting artist music to distribution and aggregation companies  

• Managing artist interests via the company's legal rights team​​

Reflection

During my time as the director of Odyssey Productions, I found my expertise as a musician utilised to its maximum potential, this resulting in a fully dedicated service to my clients, many of which became life long friends and collaborators in various projects. This time was the most rewarding creatively and personally as I was able to put forth my most advanced skill as a musician, composer, and audio engineer. 

Context

Forthnet was established in October 1995 by Minoan Lines SA and the Foundation for Research & Technology – Hellas. The Nova brand was launched in Greece in December 1999 for the satellite television platform by Naspers, who also operated MultiChoice.

Reflection

During my time at Nova I became familiar with Satellite audio and visual streaming. This provided the acquisition of knowledge in the field of electronic broadcasting systems. I also learned about handling financial account transactions between customers, banks and the company. 

Context

The proliferation of audiovisual communications technologies, including sound, video, lighting, display, and projection systems is evident in many sectors of society. This includes business, education, government, and more. The managing of audiovisual systems can be found in collaborative conferencing (which includes video-conferencing, audio-conferencing, web-conferencing, and data-conferencing), presentation rooms, auditoriums and lecture halls, command and control centers, digital signage, and more. Concerts and corporate events are among the most obvious venues where audiovisual co-ordination is crucial.

Reflection

During my time as an audio visual co-ordinator I became knowledgable about the complexity of audio and visual systems and the demands of professionally supporting a plethora of events. I was able to meet and work with many engineers that would later inspire my further interest in technology.

Reflection

During my time at this business, I learned a lot about the logistics of a trading business. This experience provided me with significant insights into the world of business and the importance of professional relationships.

Context
